SUMMARY:Third Circular Economy Dialogue Platform Meeting in Batumi
DESCRIPTION:Adjara hosted the third working meeting of the Circular Economy Dialogue Platform.\n\n\n\nThe Adjara Circular Economy Dialogue Platform was established to promote the introduction of circular approaches across various sectors and works to address existing regional challenges while strengthening multi-sectoral cooperation.\n\n\n\nEach meeting of the Dialogue Platform is unique and tailored to the needs of its member organizations. A significant part of the third meeting focused on key challenges in Adjara\, including:\n\n\n management of food waste\, construction and demolition waste;\n increasing trends in waste generation within the textile industry.\n\nIn addition to discussing challenges\, participants\, together with invited experts\, explored innovative circular solutions in the business and education sectors. The leading digital application in the fashion industry\, Phubber\, presented the role of digital innovations in circular business models\, while educational institutions from Batumi and Telavi reviewed ways to integrate circularity into the learning process and presented initiatives planned in this direction.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs a result of the discussions\, opportunities for cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives among platform members were identified.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Circular Economy Dialogue Platform is a regional network that brings together civil society organizations\, educational institutions\, and businesses. Platform members share a common goal — to develop and implement circular and sustainable approaches in their activities and communities.\n\n\n\nFollowing the working meeting of the Circular Economy Dialogue Platform\, the first training session of the Circular Academy was held in Adjara. The training was led by Nana Takvarelia\, a representative of CENN\, and Otar Anthia\, Circular Economy Expert at the Investors Council.\n\n\n\n\nDuring the training\, platform members were introduced to the core principles of the circular economy\, approaches to multi-sectoral cooperation\, the development of business-oriented circular solutions\, and practical examples of innovative approaches. After the theoretical part\, participants worked on planning specific circular initiatives.\n\n\nSimilar trainings are planned in the future within the framework of the Circular Academy and will be accessible to representatives of various sectors.\n\n\n\n\n\nSuch practical meetings and trainings help transform theoretical knowledge into practical solutions and strengthen cooperation among businesses and organizations operating in the region.\n\n\nThe Circular Economy Dialogue Platform will continue to serve as a space where knowledge sharing\, exchange of experience\, and the development of joint initiatives will ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of circular solutions in the region.\n\n_\n\n The meeting was held within the framework of the EU-funded project “Circular Cities and Regions in Georgia\,” implemented by CENN in cooperation with ICLEI Europe.
