Europe Day in Batumi: CENN Showcased Circular Initiatives in the Green Corner
On July 11, the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia celebrated “Europe Day” on the Black Sea coast. The event was dedicated to over 30 years of partnership between the EU and Georgia, with participation from EU member states, partner organizations, and representatives of various projects.
As part of the event, CENN participated in the “Green Corner,” where it introduced its circular initiatives to the public and offered various educational activities:
Textile Upcycling Workshop: Organized by ND’s Art, the workshop gave visitors a hands-on opportunity to learn practical ways of reusing and repurposing textile waste.
Educational Activities: Visitors to the space could participate in themed quizzes and raffles
In the same space, Ia’s Winery presented the bio-mulching technique, which is a practical method for maintaining soil moisture and promoting sustainable agriculture.
The goal of the “Green Corner” was to demonstrate practical ways of reusing, repairing, and responsibly managing resources through interactive workshops, initiatives supported by the European Union and Georgia within their environmental cooperation.
